The Train Giant delivers players the perfect balance of build’em up, management simulation and infrastructure development as players take on the challenging role of Train Company CEO. Tasked with developing their small towns into sprawling prosperous cities, players will need to make savvy strategic management choices that will attract businesses, keep citizens happy as well as taking the economy and the environment into account. 
 
With a huge amount of control and flexibility at their fingertips, players will be in charge of developing the industrial and commercial areas of their city which will need to be serviced by a transport system that caters to both passenger and freight traffic. Players will also be responsible for managing the development and smooth running of the city’s infrastructure, including building and maintaining stations, depots and track, as well as creating timetables for rail and bus stops, loading bays and junctions. As the city grows players will be able invest in new technologies such as clean energy and buy and sell shares on the virtual stock market.

Special European scenarios and maps have been created for The Train Giant, some combine really interesting challenges with a rather sinister humour. “Save Greece!” puts the player into charge as liquidator sent by the European Central Bank to get whatever money possible out of the bankrupt nation.

The logistic challenges of the Austrian mountains are reflected in “beauty of the Alps” where a hidden valley must be connected to the neighbours.

In “Be-My-Valentine”, a heart-shaped tourist resort struggles for survival. Unleash the romantic beauty of ongoing profits!

UIG Entertainment cooperates with Koch Media in Scandinavia & Benelux

UIG Entertainment agrees on a distribution agreement with Koch Media for Benelux and Scandinavia.

Koch will be responsible for the new product releases of the simulator and Play-Indie Lineup as well as for distribution of backcatalogue titles.
“We found an experienced and qualified distribution partner who will place our products in the Nordic and Benelux markets and we are convinced to start a longterm successful partnership”, explains Stefan Berger, Business Development Manager UIG.
“UIG has an excellent line up for 2012 and we are excited to have them on board. PC Simulation games have always performed relatively strong in the Benelux market and the UIG titles should do exceptionally well.
